Jen Barrie

Storytelling has been part of my life from the start. I grew up in musical theatre, where I learned timing, discipline, and the thrill of creating something bigger than yourself. That foundation still shapes how I work today. Every project is built on rhythm, structure, and heart.

Over the past two decades, I’ve worn many hats: producer, writer, director, creative director. I’ve led campaigns for Travel Channel, Discovery, and National Geographic; launched my boutique shop, Barrie Creative; and partnered with brands, educators, and non-profits to tell stories that connect. My motto is simple: enthusiastically get sh*t done.

I love working with kids on set, honoring their energy, curiosity, and spontaneity while giving them the structure to shine. Those moments, whether guiding a student host, wrangling preschoolers, or supporting a teen actor, are often the most honest and rewarding.

At its core, my work is about connection - sparking wonder, empathy, and curiosity through stories that stick.

I’m a proud Hoosier who’s called DC home for over two decades, living here with my husband and our two boys. When I’m not on set, you’ll find me biking, playing soccer, or traveling with my family.
