Since the days of shooting Super 8 films in grade school, I’ve been captivated by the mysterious persuasion of one image placed beside another. In college, I discovered that the early Soviet director Sergei Eisenstein had given this phenomenon a name—dialectical montage. That revelation became my creative compass.

Ever since, I’ve chased the emotional charge that lives between frames—shaping stories through character, framing, rhythm, eye movement, and the unseen action just outside the frame.. Years later, that magic still stirs me: how the simple act of putting one shot next to another can move an audience to feel something profound.
